Where Surfer is ahead of us today
Surfer is a mature writing tool. Content Editor, Surfy, Topical Map and Content Audit cover the work from planning to refresh. We do not write articles and we do no keyword research. If your content is thin and you need more and better pages, Surfer does it better than we do today.
Surfer tracks your brand across more AI models. AI Tracker covers more AI models than we do; the table shows which. Mention Gap lists the sources that name a competitor and not you. We ask two models and track no mentions, share of voice or citations. If you need that dashboard, Surfer does it better than we do today.
Surfer collects the answers people see in the AI apps. Surfer says app answers often differ from API answers. We ask GPT and Claude through their APIs with web search on. If you want the answers from the apps, Surfer does it better than we do today.
Surfer works where writers already work. The WordPress plugin moves articles between Surfer and WordPress, and the Google Docs extension shows guidelines beside your draft. Autopilot does not work on WordPress, Webflow or Framer sites without a repository, and we are a young product in free beta.

We compare AI's answers with the facts you confirmed. Our AI test asks OpenAI GPT and Anthropic Claude your buyers' questions, three times each, with web search on. It asks in your market's language and marks every answer that gets your facts wrong. Surfer shows you the full answer so your team can spot a wrong claim and decide what to correct.
Autopilot fixes the page in your site's code. It reads your code and writes a plan in plain words. After you approve it, the change arrives as a pull request on GitHub or a change in Lovable. It changes schema, meta tags, robots, sitemap, llms.txt and pages that only render with JavaScript. It writes the facts you confirmed into the page in the page's own language and invents nothing. Surfer guides the text you write, and we did not find a Surfer feature that changes your site's code.
