Check Your Website vs OtterlyAI

Last updated November 3, 2026

Pick OtterlyAI if you want to monitor how AI search mentions and cites your brand, with page audits and recommendations in one subscription. Pick Check Your Website if your site code is on GitHub or in Lovable and you want the page itself fixed.

OtterlyAI calls itself a content intelligence platform for AI search. It runs your search prompts every day across AI engines, audits single pages with its GEO Audit, and suggests next steps in Recommendations. Check Your Website checks one public page and asks OpenAI GPT and Anthropic Claude what they say about you. After you approve a plan, Autopilot fixes the page in your site's code.

Who should pick OtterlyAI

Otterly builds for marketing teams and agencies. Its plans run from solo marketers and small teams to mid-sized companies and agencies, and agencies get their own pricing. Every plan has unlimited team members, daily tracking, share of voice, sentiment and Citation Source Tracking. The AI Prompt Research Tool helps you choose which prompts to track.

Brand Profiling, launched in October 2026, shows the attributes and objections AI attaches to your brand and your competitors. Every attribute links back to the AI answers and sources behind it. If you want to watch your brand in AI search and give a marketing team a to-do list, Otterly fits better than we do.

Who should pick Check Your Website

You are a small company. Your site's code is on GitHub or in Lovable. AI tells buyers the wrong price, the wrong country or the wrong idea of what you do, because your page never says it. You want that page fixed after one approval, and you want to see the answer change. If you need to monitor mentions, or you look after several brands or clients, pick Otterly.

Where OtterlyAI is ahead of us today

Otterly monitors your brand across more AI engines. It tracks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot every day, with Claude, AI Mode and Gemini as add-ons. It records mentions, share of voice, sentiment and the sources AI cites. If you need brand monitoring across AI search, Otterly does it better than we do today.

Otterly's GEO Audit covers much of what our free check covers. The Crawlability Checker shows which bots your server and robots.txt allow. The Content Checker scores static against dynamic content, readiness and structured data. Each audit checks one URL, as ours does, and Otterly's API can check many pages.

Otterly shows why AI describes you the way it does. Brand Profiling traces each attribute to the AI answer and the source behind it, such as a review or a Reddit thread. Recommendations also point to off-page work, such as media articles and content partnerships. We work on your own page only and write no new content.

Otterly is a mature product. Higher plans add a workspace for each client, API and MCP access, and Agent Analytics. Gartner named Otterly a Cool Vendor in AI in Marketing in 2025. We are a young product in free beta with no agency workspace.

What we do that OtterlyAI does not

Autopilot makes the change in your site's code. Otterly's Recommendations and GEO Audit tell your team what to change, and your team makes the change. Autopilot reads your code and writes a plan in plain words. After you approve it, the change arrives as a pull request on GitHub or a change in Lovable. It covers schema, meta tags, robots, sitemap, llms.txt and pages that only render with JavaScript.

We compare AI's answers with the facts you confirmed. Our AI test asks GPT and Claude your buyers' questions three times each, with web search on, in your market's language. We check every answer against your confirmed facts, such as your price or country. We did not find a check against facts you set on Otterly's pages. Autopilot then writes the missing facts into the page and invents nothing.

You start with one URL and no signup. After a fix, we check every week. The free check reads nine areas of one public page in about 60 seconds. Otterly starts with a brand report and prompts on a free trial. We test each fix on your live page, then ask AI the same question every week, with answers before and after. In Otterly, you mark each completed recommendation on the performance chart to follow its effect.

Using both

For a small team with site code on GitHub, both can make sense. Otterly watches mentions and citations across AI engines. Autopilot fixes the facts and code on your page.

How we made this comparison

We read Otterly's pricing page, home page, help pages on the GEO Audit, Recommendations and Brand Profiling, and their launch post on 3 November 2026. We have not used their paid product from the inside. Prices and plans change, so check their site before you buy. If anything here is wrong or out of date, write to info@check-your-website.com and we will correct the page. That includes the OtterlyAI team.
