AI Use Disclosure
This disclosure explains how check your website! uses AI in the website audit service and what AI does not do.
1. Where AI is used
check your website! uses AI-assisted systems to analyze submitted public website pages, classify page context, summarize technical evidence, and generate diagnostic explanations and suggested fixes.
The audit may combine deterministic checks with AI-assisted review. Deterministic checks include signals such as page availability, metadata, robots and sitemap evidence, links, schema, images, page structure, and performance data. AI helps turn those signals into human-readable guidance.
2. What data AI may process
AI may process submitted URLs, bounded visible page text, page metadata, technical audit findings, structured evidence, and user feedback needed to explain or improve audit results. The service is intended for public business websites and is not intended for special-category personal data.
3. What AI does not do
- AI does not automatically change, publish, or deploy changes to your website.
- AI does not make legally binding decisions about users or restrict access to the service based on profiling.
- AI outputs are not a guarantee of search ranking, AI citation, traffic, legal compliance, accessibility compliance, or commercial results.
4. Human responsibility
AI-generated outputs can be incomplete or wrong. You remain responsible for reviewing recommendations, deciding whether to implement them, and checking changes before publishing them on your website.
5. Providers
We may use third-party AI inference, crawler, page analysis, infrastructure, analytics, and observability providers to deliver and secure the service. These providers process data only as needed for the service and under applicable data processing terms.
